Trane launches new generation of Sintesis Advantage chillers and heat pumps
09 September 2026
TRANE HAS introduced upgrades to its CGAF air-cooled chillers and CXAF air-to-water heat pumps in the 130–350 kW range, designed to improve reliability, increase seasonal efficiency, reduce sound levels and support safer operation in cold-weather conditions.

Recent enhancements include an improved refrigerant circuit design and a new management system to evacuate condensate during operation and reduces the likelihood of icy or slippery surfaces forming around the unit, supporting safer site conditions and easier winter operation.
For projects where acoustics are critical, Trane now offers its XXLN super low-noise option, which can reduce sound levels by up to 10 dB(A) compared with standard units while, without compromising on seasonal efficiency.
To further accelerate the adoption of integrated thermal management systems in commercial buildings and respond to higher cooling demands in summer, Trane has applied the same design enhancements to its air-to-water Sintesis CXAF heat pump range. In addition to its market-leading efficiency in heating mode values, the CXAF heat pump also delivers an average seasonal cooling efficiency up to 201%, enabling high performance all year round. This helps building operators support efficient, lower-carbon building operation.
"These upgrades reflect a broad engineering effort across the platform to respond to higher customer demands, especially for light commercial applications up to 350 kW. We combine rigorous testing with decades of field experience to continuously improve our products and deliver quieter operation, improved reliability and higher efficiency," said Alberto Bellù, product manager CHVAC EMEA ANZ at Trane.
The upgraded CGAF and CXAF are now available to order.
